TOW FEES – TOWING COMPANIES – AND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOUR SECURITY PATROL SERVICE – ARTICLE BY KATHY MIRAMONTES

Your Courtesy Security Patrol Professional impounds vehicles, in accordance with your Homeowner Associations rules and regulations and in accordance with the CA. Vehicle Code section 22658.
Your Courtesy Security Patrol Professional is hired by your HOA to enforce the parking rules.
In doing so, unfortunately, some vehicles will be towed. Towing a vehicle is NEVER a fun task, however, it is part of the job the HOA requires their Security Patrol Professional to perform to fulfill their contract with the HOA.
Your Courtesy Security Patrol Professional does NOT receive any sort of compensation from ANYONE when towing any vehicle.
Your Courtesy Security Patrol Professional carefully selects the towing vendors that serve their clients.
Your Courtesy Security Patrol Professional does NOT accept or allow any of their Tow Vendors to offer any form of compensation or kickbacks to any of its officers, employees and or drivers.
Your Courtesy Security Patrol Professional has NO control over the tow fees. Tow fees are set by the Towing Companies as stated in CVC 22658.
If a resident ever feels that he/she was overcharged by a towing company, they are encouraged to contact their local law enforcement agency and they will do a complete investigation.
